Emsworth and Chichester

My thanks to Joy for a great walk yesterday to the Sussex coast. A long journey from Clapham Junction but well worth the traveling. Much of our journey down in the train was spent comparing fares, it seemed we had all paid a variety of different prices with our gallant leader being charged almost twice as much as anyone else! Much merriment especially when Andy's front tooth fell out (I think it was down to the book he was trying to read)! Joy led us from Elmsworth past pretty cottages and well appointed houses down onto the sea wall, through beautiful fields of rich green barley, across rocky beaches and then thankfully into the pub at Bosham.
A quick visit to Bosham church after lunch returning to the harbour walk with boats and terrific views, onwards then through the reed beds with black birds and sky larks singing all the way. My abiding memory will be of 'Lily' Ann & Joe's little spaniel finding life so much fun the entire walk I'm sure she slept well and long - I did." - Norma Barwis
