Walk from the station towards The Vines cricket club site of the original seven oaks (reduced to 1 in the great storm of 1987 but since regrown) and into the park via a side gate. From here there are various routes to the house and the choice can be yours. Visiting the house is optional (but my choice)
Home route is a walk to the main gate and back to the station. Buses are available at this juncture
Knole house cafe or bring your own picnic
CostsI am very excited to be sending out details of our first Slow Lane Walk.
It is to Knole park and House, Sevenoaks. This is a National Trust venue. The park is free to everyone but non NT members will need to pay for the house and entrance to the Brewhouse cafe (£6 for the cafe £16 for house and cafe) This is optional and walking in the park is extensive. Not sure if we can persuade the custodians to let us into the cafe without paying extra which is common in other NT properties
