11 set out for yet another lovely Friday walk! A bit of everything, really, right on our doorsteps: two rivers, a canal, Turner's uncle's pub, contemporary murals (professional and amateur), weirs and locks, quaint villagey houses, shaggy horses, cows, lots of bird-life, several lakes, a good pub, formal gardens, a stately home, and a second-hand book-shop.
Out -from South London there is a train that leaves Clapham Junction at 9.32am Kew Bridge 9.50 that goes via Barnes etc Buses from Richmond no 65 and other options better known to West londoners

Park and House via Thames Path, River Brent and Grand Union Canal
Hare and Hounds, Windmill Lane Osterley estimated time of arrival at the pub 12.30pm
Large clean pub with good lunch menu and special offer sandwich and drink £12 No need to book This would be a good place for afternoon walkers to join us for lunch and walk in Osterley Park afterwards
The afternoon walk is in Osterley Park and can be self lead So anyone wanting to join us for lunch can walk at their own pace after lunch through the Park, leaving cars in the pub car park immediately opposite the entrance
There is also the option of going into the house and gardens - free for NT members so bring your cards
