Travel: 

Train from Paddington 9.38 arrives at Oxford 10.34, (Ealing Broadway does not have a satisfactory connection) Regular return trains.
Bus: Oxford tube ( http://www.oxfordtube.com/ ) runs every 15 mins, takes +/- 100 mins and has stops at Marble Arch, Notting Hill Gate and Shepherds Bush. Return £17, over 60s £13. Last stop Gloucester Green about 10 mins walk from station.

Route: 

Port Meadow, including about 3 or 4 miles of the Thames Path. Back along the Cherwell, a few Oxford Colleges, back past Botanic Gardens to Folly Bridge,

Notes: 

This is another repeat as revered and much valued leader is away: the Oxford Section of the Thames Path. This is a lovely circular walk from Oxford railway station, it will start at approx 10am, and be approx 10 miles – up the Thames Path to Godstow, back across Port Meadow , cut through North Oxford to the Cherwell through some colleges back to the station
