Return Trains from Falconwood to London Victoria leave at 18 and 54 mins past the hour and take 36 minutes
The walk is mostly Section 1 of the Capital Ring. It has great contrasts, rising from the River Thames to OxleasMeadow, one of the highest points in London (there are a couple of steep climbs). There is a mixture of surfaced paths, a little pavement, woodland, rough grass and un-surfaced tracks. The walk also passes some interesting buildings such as the Thames Barrier, Charlton House and Severndroog Castle and has many fine views.
The Red Lion, Shooters Hill (roasts, soup and light snacks). No prior choosing necessary.
