Richmond Park can be reached by car up Sheen Lane which is off the South Circular. Turn up the lane past the war memorial and then straight up into the park. Turn left at the first roundabout towards Roehampton then right towards Robin Hood Gate. From there carry on towards Kingston and you'll see the Broomhill car park just on the left of the road. (Don't use the car park marked Isabella at Robin Hood Gate)
Nearest station Mortlake, there are four trains per hour which run from Waterloo. Use directory to arrange lift shares to car park.

Route:

The Isabella Plantation

Lunch:

The Lass of Richmond Hill, 8 Queen's Road Richmond. Come out of Richmond Gate, turn right at first mini roundabout, pub is on right hand side about 50 metres from the mini roundabout. Simple pub food.

Notes:

Angus is very good at identifying the birdsong so we will mostly be listening to the bird song and trying to identify the various calls. It would be a good idea to bring binoculars if you have them. It's probably best not to bring dogs as they have to be on the lead in the Isabella Plantation.
