Box Hill, Surrey

It was exactly as it said on the packet an excellent round and about Box Hill walk. 11 of us met at West Humble station in dull but not raining weather, familiar to many and we set off in a familiar direction but then quickly veered off into unfamiliar territory as we skirted around the hill side towards the Mole valley. Wonderful views were gained of Box Hill and I am sure there were many in the group hoping the direction did not involve the steep ascent we saw. Be not afraid .After an excellent lunch- despite two of the group being denied access to the dining room for daring to order baguettes- we found ourselves with a gradual climb up from Juniper Bottom to the top of the hill, then down again and then up again and then a final gradual down and back to the train. Excellently lead Thank you to our intrepid leaders
