Rochester and Medway Path

Well this was a walk of the unexpected
First a lovely walk overall despite rain and mists and mud. Lovely views of the North Downsand the Medway River flowing peacefully through its own special valley

Next - killer road layouts in Rochester Make sure your life insurance is up to date before attempting to access said Medway river side walk

And lastly, the pubs of Wouldham don't sell food on a friday lunch time but an excellent collective picnic can be put together by raiding the local post office

Route:

Following Medway path to Wouldham and back along the Medway, across the Medway bridge and a short stretch of the North Downs way.

Lunch:

Pubs of Wouldham

Notes:

As you have already discovered the trains to Aylesford are infrequent and expensive so I have decided we should cut our losses and do a circular walk along the Medway Path from Rochester, which is cheaper and from Victoria. On the day I will discuss with the pedants who want to complete the whole trail what we should do about the missing link!
