Eden Valley Walk
Dep. 08.53 Victoria (or 9.00 Clapham Junction). Change Oxted, arrive Hever 9.50. Return from Tonbridge (different line): frequent trains to Charing Cross via Waterloo East.
We follow the Eden Valley Walk from west to east between the Low and High Weald, via Hever, Park Wood, Hill Hoath to Penshurst. After lunch over a hill from which we have a good view of Penshurst Place; along the River Meadway, Haysden Water, and Haysden and Barden Parks, overlapping the Wealdway to enter Tonbridge.

2¼ hours a.m. (no steep hills). 2¾ hours p.m. (3 stiles, one uphill). Mostly woods, fields and, after lunch, river and lakes. Short stretch of serious mud near the start.
As you know Joy had some problems with her original walk and nobly reccied this which was proposed by Sophie Baker as a bluebell walk. It is a linear walk, and probably too early for bluebells, but our thanks are due to Sophie.
