Route:

Lunch:

Pubs of Dedham()

Notes:

Straddling the Essex/Suffolk border, the meadows and river banks , the imposing churches, the mills and the picturesque town of Dedham are all unmistakable features famous from John Constable's paintings.
This makes for a fairly long day but the countryside on the walk itself is sufficiently different from many other walks around London to merit the extra time for an autumn walk.
